SAM LAW (formally Samuel Lawton) is a pop/rock artist formed from the suburbs of Indianapolis, Indiana. Together with his steadfast bandmates, Taylor Blythe and Trevor Junga, a dynamic trio is created with noticeable chemistry. Sam’s ability to play multiple instruments began when he started classical training on the violin at age five. This foundation flowed into the guitar and drums, which inspired years of songwriting. After touring professionally as drummer for Corey Cox and producing local artists, Sam found his passion within his own music. His first record, RECHARGED, released late March of 2014, did just that to listeners awareness levels. Issues like human trafficking and eastern European depravity in disabled boys orphanages were brought to light. His next record, currently untitled and scheduled to release late fall, will talk about topics such as identity, trends, stars, love and death. In an online interview Sam said, “I’m being more honest in my songwriting. I’m being more transparent in my thinking and what I have to say. And, I believe… that’s going to connect with people in a new way.” The album is also expected to have an entirely different sound than RECHARGED, incorporating sounds compared to Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Macklemore. His latest big release, All My Motivation, gave fans a pleasant taste of the new sound expected to be on the next record. SAM LAW has been featured on the home page of music sharing site, NOISETRADE, and radio show New Music Inferno. He has been selected twice as Orangehaus’ featured artist to work with live show producer, Tom Jackson (Taylor Swift, The Band Perry), from Nashville. His band toured Europe in mid 2013 and has opened for artists such as Highly Suspect (#4 on Billboard Modern Rock charts) and Matthew Sweet (Columbia Records). Sam was also featured in the "Indy Star" newspaper, Indianapolis' top selling newspaper, following the packed out performance at Porch Fest. With EPIC showmanship and a richly diverse style, Sam is creating something special. In his own words, “If it’s not epic, then I’m wasting my time. If there’s no passion, then it’s not believable.”
