Eschete is not as innovative within the solo guitar bop style as Joe Pass (there are no cookers à la "Cherokee") or Stanley Jordan, but his chord voicings are attractive, he expertly alternates chords with single-note solos and basslines, and his ballad renditions are heartfelt. This set of standards (which includes a logical four-song "Deep South Medley") is well worth acquiring.
