"Red Mouth - The Old Original Saint Red Mouth Blues Four years ago Red Mouth began recording in his basement apartment what would have become (the now very different) Saint Red Mouth record. The recording process took about a year and also included alot of recording in his parents bathroom. Big plans were made for mixing and mastering to be done by the great Kramer. However, through circumstances, a more 'live' version came out. Cut to last summer, Red revisited these tracks and realized that through all the 'flaws' of the recordings that this might be some of his best regardless. Mixing began at 414 in Sheffield, Al with Lynn Bridges. A handful of overdubs later, and Kramer's mastering skills, this record was completed and aptly titled The Old Original Saint Red Mouth Blues. Artist and guitar estraordinaire Brown Lollar volunteered for album cover duty and turned in a painting that shows all the Son House, punk rock, and Elvis Presley that resides on this record. His first to go to full length vinyl as well as CD this record is gritty, dirty, beautiful, mournful, and content. He's a man now. And I tell you, you should hear this sh*t he's recording now.
