简介
About Romanzo Gotico The Black Romanticism movement, which dates as early as 1800 is the cradle in which a new generation of existential artists emerged. After the French Revolution, marked by this dramatic historical event, these artists developed an almost insane fondness towards the most gruesome aspects of death and beyond. In the many forms of horror, the guillotine, for example, is an efficient and sanguinary execution instrument in Europe, pre and post revolution. For more than a century this instrument has provided the inspiration to musicians and writers, such as Hector Berlioz, Alexandre Dumas, Antoine Wiertz, to express their romantic artistic flares. It is in the interplay between the elements of Black Romanticism, Early Classical music, Dark Cabaret and horror movies scores, that The Victim’s Ball second album Romanzo Gotico lays its roots. The result is a dark romantic and epic journey through historical times that makes Romanzo Gotico quite a unique album. Romanzo Gotico includes the invaluable support of guest artists such as: Enia Valentina Dellepiane, Harry Wass (Courtesy of Harlequin, The Borderland), Joanne Missen, Mark Tansley (courtesy of Razorfade), The Baroness (courtesy of ‘Opera Macabre’) and Tim Harris.
