Forgotten Songs is the third full length album by UK Singer-Songwriter Jon Chapman. The album was written, recorded and mixed almost entirely by Chapman, who plays all the instruments and sings all the vocal parts himself. His songwriting blurs the lines between the pop, folk, country and Americana genres and his style has been forged from a mix of influences provided by many of his favorite songwriters. While the title track "Forgotten Song" evokes The Beatles & Elliott Smith, the feelgood "Get away in the summertime" is sun-drenched in Beach Boys vocal harmonies. The gentler, acoustic tracks such as "All We Need" and "Wooden Heart" introduce lap steel guitar to the mix, giving the songs more of a country feel. On making the album, Chapman explains "It took me a long time to get everything to sound the way I wanted. But its been worth the time and effort to produce an album that I can be proud of".
