After fleeing post-communist Romania for Southern Ontario in the mid 90’s, Florian Gray found a lifeline in hip-hop, emerging in Windsor's underground scene as a lyricist with gifted promise. It was also in this border city where he discovered his love for travel, and after graduating college, Florian turned his sights to adventure. With his early twenties came his time abroad—the period of time spent drifting throughout Asia, Europe and Australia. Through the spirit of new cultures and landscapes, Florian has crafted a unique style of writing, accompanied by a refined sound which seems to be ever-changing in nature. “Citizen Earth” is Florian's debut EP—an emotion driven project comprised of haunting melodies over prominent bass-lines, vocalized with a gut-punching style of delivery that proves a testament to the nomadic nature of man—of life on the road. Florian depicts the self-destructive temptations of wanderlust, being consumed by love and drugs, and the superficial nature of society. In the meantime, Florian is based in Toronto, where he continues to speak to soul-searchers and hiphopologists across the planet—from the '6' all the way to his birthplace of Transylvania.
