Ava's music is influenced by artists such as Queen, Ella Fitzgerald and Ed Sheeran. She is also highly dedicated to classical music and often uses her training as a means of developing her own style as a singer-songwriter. She began writing music at a rather early age and often explores the themes of love, loss, regret and freedom. As a Canadian artist, she aspires to not only touch the hearts of those around her, but provide her music to people all around the world in hopes of making a difference. Her first published single, "Finding Hope," was written for her school play at the age of sixteen. "Finding Hope" is a sincere reflection on the importance of having hope, even during the darkest moments of one's life. This single was inspired by the Syrian refugee crisis and quickly became a popular hit in her hometown.
