Christian Artist Gavin Davis starts a Campaign that petitions the World to move into a new direction with His New Sophomore Album entitled Your Way, releasing October 18 on his own Godscribe Music. This highly anticipated project features a masterful multi-generational sound that purposely encompasses different genres of music to unite all who listen. This album also reveals special guest appearances by Charles Billingsley, The Fantastic Heavenly Five, new artists April Nicole, and Paula Coleman as well as collaborations with producers Christopher Leach, Jonathan “Jon J” Jordan, James Walz, and Bruce Johnson. As a worship leader, singer, composer, instrumentalist and producer, Gavin Davis is also noted for his work as a writer of substance, creating songs that are scripturally based, edifying God and the body of believers. Having written many songs of various styles, Gavin works to create a canon of lyrics and melody that become standard in houses of faith around the globe. Your Way follows his mission-driven debut album, I’ll be Your Minister, and promises to be an inspiration to everyone. “Your Way” is a call from Proverbs 14:12 to all who travel their own way in life without the hand of God guiding them. “God showed me that my way of living, moving, and thinking seems right, but it only leads to death if it is not of Him. Period.” All 14 songs were penned by Gavin (Secret Place co-written by Freddie Collins III) and inspired by the personal testimony of God in his life. “I truly believe that people’s lives will be changed after experiencing what God inspired me to create.” Nine of the songs were produced by Stellar Award-Nominated producer Christopher Leach including the singles “Every Time I Think” and “Keep His Promise.” Your Way blends the musical genres of worship, pop, R&B, and gospel, and was recorded and engineered mostly by producer James Walz at Hallowtree Studio in Virginia. “I was so fortunate and humbled to be working with such great producers, skilled musicians, and talented singers. Being able to hear the ideas from my head professionally brought to life with is literally a dream come true. God showed me that this is His project by the way everything and everyone came together. It was such a joy to be around them throughout this process. As we created the album, we talked about how excited we were that people would hear these wonderful messages through song. Active as a praise team member/soloist in his local church, Jonathan Falwell’s Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Gavin has served as worship leader for various conferences and Sunday morning worship services up and down the East Coast. He was also a choir director at Lovely Zion Baptist Church, Bedford, for three years and worship leader at Prayer of Faith Temple COGIC, Lynchburg, for two and a half years prior to joining Thomas Road. Gavin also ministers through concerts and shared the stage alongside many of today’s popular artists. Gavin Davis is an independent artist and is the founder of Godscribe Music established in 2007 with the release of his first album entitled “I’ll Be Your Minister” available on iTunes.
