Kieran has a rich and variety-filled history in the Australian music industry dating back 30 years as a classical musician, as a rock musician and as a songwriter. Kieran has played most venues and stages in Australia at one time or another over the years, either in orchestras, as a bassoonist or as a classical percussionist, as a drummer, or as a keyboard player and singer. Kieran has had the privilege of playing rock keyboards for some of Australia's greatest talents such as Stevie Wright, Max Merrit, Kevin Borich, Russel Morris, the Chain, Normie Rowe, Lonnie Lee, and Phil Manning. As a dedicated father of three, Kieran is primarily 'a family guy' now, who practices and enjoys music as a singer, songwriter, keyboard player, and guitarist in a number of outfits including originals band 'the human reaction', cabaret duo 'Kiss and tell', and rock and roll outfit 'the Playmates'. Kieran was the National President of the Australian Songwriters Association from 2002-2005, and continues to passionately support young Australian songwriters and musicians. Kieran has run a successful music teaching practice for over twenty five years, and has always tried to give back to the music world what it has so generously given to him. Kieran is currently preparing a series of songs for release as a long awaited album to highlight his passionate songwriting style, which draws from the rich songwriting traditions of Jimmy Webb, Harry Chapin, and Paul Kelly.
