Since 2004 the Westmont Worship Team has been recording live worship albums from the Westmont College Community under the musical leadership of Joel Patterson, Director of Music and Worship and under the pastoral leadership of Campus Pastor Ben Patterson. Joel Patterson is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan and has a passion for revival, worship and the Arts and his father Ben is a prolific writer and pastor.

The Westmont Worship Team’s musical excellence and pastoral presence on the Westmont campus has helped encourage a worshipful ethos among the students and staff. This album is a taste of the music that happens in Chapel services every week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Many of the songs sung in Westmont’s Chapel are sung in churches and college ministries around the world. Others, such as “All of My Hope,” “Fully Yours” and “Oh the Blessed Condescension” are original compositions by Joel Patterson and various students on the Worship Team.

This album was recorded live just days after students had returned to campus after Santa Barbara’s infamous November 2008 wildfire that destroyed several of Westmont’s buildings and at least 13 faculty homes near campus. The horror and confusion of the “Tea Fire,” as it became known, is the backdrop for the live worship you hear on this album. The passion and energy with which the students worship God is palpable as they seek God’s face in the midst of tragedy.
