"18" is the winner of the CBS/Gannett nationwide songwriting contest. It is the theme song for the 2014 media campaign #18inAmerica. Keira Moran, who wrote and performs the song, will be the face of this year-long media campaign. Avery Blake, who is also a talented solo artist, produced "18." Keira and Avery both attend the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

In high school, Keira began writing and performing her original music, which stemmed from a background in classical piano. In June 2011, Keira won the national Smashtune Songwriting Competition. The grand prize was a trip to Hawaii, where Keira was also a finalist in the Kauai Music Festival's Songwriters' Contest. Keira's debut CD "Wondergirl" was released in November 2011. She was voted "Favorite Part of First Night Alexandria" in January 2012 and was awarded the 2012 Miss Nova Music Award in February. In August 2012, Keira wrote the score for the short film "American Financial" which subsequently won multiple industry awards. Keira's popularity extends as far as Australia where she was voted one of the top 10 "Stars of Tomorrow 2012" by the Stars of Tomorrow radio show. Keep a look out for Keira's Sophomore album!
