This song was inspired by the Carlo Collodi's fictional character "Pinocchio". What happens after Pinocchio becomes a real boy? After becoming a real boy Pinocchio got lazy, and stop growing...he slipped off to Neverland with Peter Pan, but got a wake up call when he started to turn back into a jackass aka donkey. His fairy Godmother tells him that if he doesn't become a real man then he will be a donkey forever! Now Pinocchio must face his fears and "Grow Up" or be a donkey for the rest of his life.
