Figure Eight is a play on a dual meaning that Thaiwanda uses, as he writes not only about what he would do for his ideal woman but simultaneously referrers to his search for "forever" love. This forever love is embodied by the infinity symbol which is inherent in shape of the figure eight. This song is part of his "Pages I wrote about you" series a follow up to his "Letters I hope you get" album. These form a collection of songs chronicling his trials of love, in the form of letters written to Love.
