The Ride represents a metaphor Thaiwanda uses to describing his experience of the roller coaster like nature of the different stages of falling in love. How through it all with the right person the ride can be an exhilarating adventure through the ups and downs. This song is part of his "Pages I wrote about you" series a follow up to his "Letters I hope you get" album. Altogether these form a collection of songs chronicling his trials and experiences of love, in the form of letters written to Love.
