简介
Of all my C.D. 's that I have produced . This is my favorite.I think the musicians that helped put it together were most proud of it , which in turn gave me more satisfaction.. It seems that I have always been asked to sing at funerals which prompted me to write Last Request, which as I was writing it I thought ,I hope it would be sang at my funeral. Matilda Waters is a true story ,In the early 1900's, Matilda killed all five of her kids then herself . I visited her grave in 2006 and I swear she helped me write this song. The Hot Dog Stand seems to be a favorite to every one. A true story of the girl in the bikini selling hot dogs. I was trying to think of a title to this C.D. .and finally came up with Rocky Mountain Offspring. I loved the name , but didnt have a song by that name, so I sat down and wrote this one. I wanted to get it on the C.D. but we didnt have time to bring in a full band . So Rod Kent used his musical talent and played all the instruments. We got it on the C.D. and of the hundreds songs I have written I must say it is my favorite. I grew up in and around remote ranches in Montana and Wyoming, and I seem to write alot about the country and people from there which you will find true when you listen to some of my other C.D.'s like Changing Brands or Jumpin Fences. This C.D. got a little deeper.Take my hand is a song I wrote for my 99 year old grandmother. The Cycle got really deep. I actually wrote the first part in about 1980. A few years after my grandad died. I put the Lyrics in my box of partially written songs .Then in 2006 I wrote the rest after visiting my newborn grandson at the hospitol. I hope you enjoy my songs and if you get a chance look for my other C.D.s. Jumpin Fences, Pretty Stones, Changing Brands and Roping The Moon
