This C. D. is a change from my more country folk C.D.s. I was raised in and around the remote of Montana where I lived on and around ranches . I started writing songs at a young age .At the ranch we had mostly lanterns at night for there was no outside electricity. But I would practice and play my guitar till bedtime . I wrote stacks of songs that I have no idea where they are today. It wasnt untill I was 44 years old that I met a musician that took an intrest in my music and helped me advance to recording. It seems that this was a time in my life that I was going out of a rocky relationship and into a well deserved peaceful one. Most of the songs you will hear reflect that.Ive written hundreds of songs but I think Who'll Keep the Pictures is my favorite. I wrote two songs here that I had the talented Nita Spencer sing, I'll Stay and Listen To Me. I wrote Pretty Stones while visiting the cemetary in Lovell Wyoming , where I was born.They had just cut the grass and thats how I started the song.
