Jumpin fences started off as combination of western songs that I had written with the same type of flaver as a lot of the previous songs I had written.

Ranch songs like 100 Years, Judges Eyes and Cowboy In You which is a song that I wrote about my son.

Earl Durand is a true story about a modern day mountain man that was born a hundred years to late. Earl was caught poaching in the mountains around Cody ,Wyoming and when he broke out of jail , several innocent people were killed before he was shot by a kid. I kind of felt sorry for Earl when I read the book. and like a lot of songs I have written about people that have died troubled . I felt Earl was there asking me to tell his story.

During the time that I was putting together this C.D. I was going through a pretty hostile divorce and a few of the songs on here reflect that hostility.I hope you enjoy.
