简介
We opened this album with "29 Ways" and "Thought You Told Me". Those two songs, along with "Girl I Want You To Be My Lady", have a real good energy, and were a lot of fun for us to record. "A Song For My Father", which made it's debut on our "Ole' Skool Soul" CD, has a very personal message, but one that most anyone can relate with. Sometimes, it's not until you actually lose your father that you realize his true importance in your life. We tried to focus a little more on our root... Acappella... All the current members of 14 Karat Soul worked together on an acappella arrangement of "Sora-ni Hoshi-ga Aruyoni" in one of our hotel rooms in the late '90s, as a request for us to appear on the hit Japanese TV program, "The Yorumo Hippare". This was our first time singing an entire song in Japanese. Since then, this song has become very special to each of us, and we are happy to be able to include it in this album. "I Wish That We Were Married" is one of our classic acappella songs, never performed in Japan. It was the first song we performed on our first ever National U.S. TV appearance on "Saturday Night Live". "On My Knees And Pray" and "Hurt Someone" bring out the strength and fulness of 14 Karat Soul's acappella sound; while "Farewell My Love" brings us back to the straight up, street corner Doo-Wopp sound. The title song, "On The Road Again", is basicaly about having the love, the desire, and the need to travel and continue to experience new things, while at the same time, keeping the love of your life in your heart and mind... not losing sight of where home is. We hope this album takes you on an enjoyable journey and lifts your spirits. Sincerely, Glenny T.
