Sheen (May 8, 1895 – December 9, 1979) was considered by many to be the greatest preacher of the twentieth century. Indeed, he was a true pioneer in religious broadcasting. From 1952 until 1957, then Bishop Sheen, discussed the moral issues of the day, in an inspirational American television series, telecast nationwide, Life is Worth Living.
