简介
Donkeyshot - A Real Life Travel Rep The singer Camilla Jonasson used to be a drummer and usually stayed in the background. When she began using the guitar to create music, the idea was born to take a step forward on the stage. The step from being the drummer in the indie-band Three Blind Mice might seem like a big one, but Donkeyshot is possibly even more independent. Camilla Jonasson is a true singer-songwriter inspired above all by Carole King. The songs wander about in dreamlike Kafkaesque landscapes, though the lyrics often deal with everyday matters. A 12 tracks long travel guide to life. With no ambition to push people in any particular direction, it’s rather more about picking up the small grains that make up the lives of human beings. ”Dirty socks and human pleasure and how you manage to make lifestyles into an art” from the quiet and humorously affectionate ”Men”, contrast with the rhythmic ”Soft Spot” that might soon be heard at an aerobics class workout near you. Contrasts can be said to be a recurring theme of the musical creations of Camilla Jonasson. Her music is a tender, bitter-sweet reflection of reality, recorded at her own studio in Malmo, and "A Real Life Travel Rep” is released on her newly established record label Bensin Records. The music is hers from the first chord to the last mix, which is a testament to female strength of the unusually tough kind. It also gives her the freedom to create music that is a tribute to other independent women and soft men of everyday life. To people that might not be the target audience of the major record companies. Besides writing the lyrics and composing the music, Camilla co-produced “A Real Life Travel Rep” with Anders Nordgren. Anders is the guitarist in Donkeyshot, but he is more known for being one of the people behind Tambourine Studios, the studio that was responsible for a large part of the music created in Malmo in the 1990’s. Donkeyshot is: Camilla Jonasson, Vocals Anders Nordgren, Guitar, Flute, Keyboards, and Backing Vocals Niclas Andersson, Drums Sofie Gustavsson, Backing Vocals Thomas Jonasson, Bass Ola Lundin, Accordion
