Jennifer Reeves recently celebrated four years of living cancer free by appearing on the Tyra Banks television show. A video of the song she inspired can be seen on the web sites www.jimmypeters.com, www.boston.com and youtube.com. The video shows the song being recorded and also presents important facts about breast cancer for the viewer. The song has been selected out of hundreds of submissions for inclusion on the compilation CD Artists Against Cancer Volume I (more info at www.artistsagainstcancer.org). The song is also on the CD entitled Sky’s The Limit featuring 10 original songs. This CD was recorded at a studio owned by Rich Cronin (of LFO and VH1 Mission Man Band fame) called Orange Freeze Records in Kingston, MA. Jimmy Peters grew up in Quincy Massachusetts just south of Boston and began performing in his teen years as lead guitar player in his first band Waterfront. Jimmy was raised on rock and roll but also has explored country, folk, bluegrass, and blues. Recently Jimmy performed with classic rock cover bands in various show settings. The performances were on the south shore, in metro west, Providence RI, and Loudon, New Hampshire. Shows included Boston Harbor cruises, the Brockton Fair, NASCAR NEXTEL CUP race concerts and many night clubs. Collaborating with friends on various music projects, Jimmy continues jamming in band settings and does an occasional duet act. Jimmy also performs with his friends Evan Dennis, Bill Lawnsby, Dave Southerland and blues harp master Johnny Dino DiNatale. Jimmy started his solo act with a string of performances at the end of 2004 and has maintained a busy performance schedule ever since. He is writing original songs and occasionally performs them along with an extensive list of popular cover tunes. Jimmy writes about events and people that have touched his life in some way.
