'Daisies and Butterflies' is a collection of songs that are snapshots of my life's journey. Part of this journey has been developing as a musical artist and songwriter. I've been a poet since a very young child and always loved music and singing. As an adult I've been blessed to be able to merge the two passions. The songs come from honest emotions, desires, struggles and victories. "Looking At Me" is about being in helplessly in love, where "Never Satisfied" deals with the hopelessness of being in a dying relationship and getting the courage to move on with my life. "Shine" and "Come Around" are personal anthems that have motivated me to step out of my box that gets oh so comfortable. "Girl Thing" is something only the girls can understand and it was so fun for me to be able to include some of my girlfriends when recording.

The title track "Daisies and Butterflies" is the opposite of its delicate name. Life has been anything but daisies and butterflies. It has been an amazing, ever evolving experience with terrific highs and breathtaking lows. Wherever it has taken me, I know that God has been there and that He has held my hand to lead me through the next corridor. As I sing in "Come Around", "everyday is like a brand new canvas. Paint a picture of a better you". I'm happy to be still painting and making a better me. I hope you enjoy this project.
