Published on YouTube Aug 16, 2014 I recorded this song immediately after the passing of Robin Williams. His wide spectrum of work mesmerized millions of views including myself. During my Intermediate and High School years, I identified with Robin’s approach to improvisation and quickly developed my own cast of characters and voices that have actually gotten me into plenty trouble over the years but provided my friends and me unsurpassed bouts of laughter. Robin William’s was a stimulus that evoked my can do it attitude. If you are lucky enough to find the YouTube of “Where Ever You Go” you will see the tribute I created using photos of Robin’s unforgettable characters with the accompaniment of this tune. I wrote this song shortly after the passing of Pete Seeger in January, 2014. You may know Pete for his contribution to American Folk Music and writing a number of popular songs such as, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", Turn, Turn, Turn" and "If I Had a Hammer". Pete was co-contributor/founder of the Newport Folk Festival and inspired many other festivals. His style influenced community of song writers including, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, the Kingston Trio, Van Morrison and hundreds of others from one generation to the next. So the inspiration for the song is Pete. The motivation to record the song and present it to the world is due to Robin. Both very humble contributors to performance art and our American culture, Gentlemen that will be remembered where ever we go. Thank you finding this original and listening!
